I was in Italy, with my cousins for a few months. got back Oct. 20th...
My auntie was in the hospital there. she had a stroke and her whole left side of her body was paralyzed :-(
So anything i did online and off pretty much came to a halt.
but she is doing MUCH better now!! She has all feeling back in her left side. which is great news!!
glowfoto seemed to change a tid-bit.
i do notice i lag a lot more. sadly. :-S

Sorry for not answering im's, messages, & friend requests. I've been sick, and i still am.
BUT, i got this new medicine today and its seems to be making me feel better. That and tons of Vitamins & Japanese Green Tea!! =D
Hopefully i'll feel better, and more talkative in a few days!!

| Racism at work, leads to a new friend!! |

It's late May.
Which around here means, It's the beginning of the tourist invasion. =]
Which i don't mind! (too much...)
And as much of a people person as i am, some of the tourist i encounter at work, drive me wild.
Example:
This woman, come in with her daughter who looked like she was about my age, and i was walking up to do my usual "welcome, blah blah blah..." and right after i said hello welcome to... she cuts me off and starts going "oh lordy, Weee areee here for MAPPPPP"
"Seee here, HOW DO WEEE GET TO HEREE" - while she's pointing over and over again at the map.
At first i was wondering if she was drunk or slow or w/e.
But after a few seconds, and putting the "Oh Lordy" in conjunction with how she's talking to me, i realized she picked up my accent, and thought i was just another Hispanic who spoke no English. =x
Which pissed me off to be honest.
Because i might have a slight accent, but i naturally picked that up from my family. I was in Puerto Rico for a very short time before i moved to New York.
I mean, i speak WAY more English then Spanish.
& If i was given the chance to speak, she would of known that.
Instead, she cut me off and i was stereotyped within 5 seconds, and i swear...i wanted to bat that hag in her mouth....
But of course i grinned, and gave them directions...
and then i turned around and was about to go find a co worker to bitch to when her daughter came over and apologized...
She was my age, & genuinely sorry,
& embarassed....
then, she told me this lil story about how she has a friend who's Mexican, and was born and raised in America, but her mother talks like that to him every time she sees him. And they've been friends for over a year
Which led me to laugh, & she laughed, and i really wasn't angry anymore.
And i told her, that it was okay, and if she got lost to call or come back and i'd help them.
& i figured that was that.
Well, she did come back. But it was for Lunch! And the place was pretty empty, or at least empty for us, so long story short, i ended up being able to eat lunch with her & then spending the afternoon at the beach with her!
And i was her personal tour-guide. hahaha.
Found out that her moms an old-fashion racist/stereotypic and she can't stand it, hah.
And that they'll be here for two weeks, and she's staying close to where i live and bored to tears.
So i invited her to breakfast tomorrow!!!
Which will be hilarious if her mother comes with her =x
Nothing better then smiling and purposely trying to hug or shake hands with a racist who wants to tell you go away. Rofl.
Sooo to end this post before i never STFU, i guess the moral of my lil story is, Don't judge a book by its cover! Or more correctly, by the books around it.
Because when Renee came back to apologize, i probably looked at her really meanly. And i just lumped her in with her mother as a racist. =x
Which is wrong.
She seems like an awesome chic.
Her mother, is the one that's misguided. Not her.
And if i would've just been an ass to her and written off her apology, i might have had a boring day after work and missed out on a new friend.

| I want my T-Bone!! |

I haven't had a grilled T-Bone in sooo long!
I can't wait until we get the grill going!!!
This is our first big cookout of the year, woo.
And instead of buying my normal Rib-eye, i splurged on a beautiful T-bone. Hah!
So if the weather is as stated on the news , this afternoon is going to be lovely.
A cook-out, with good music, on the beach, 80 degrees, volleyball, & beer.
What more could you ask for??
80 is perfect. Not too hot, and Not too cold.
Well I hope everyone else has a great day planned today.

It's so weird, ever since Monday i've been craving a new ep of Ugly Betty.....

I think it's because Betty Kisses Gio!!
I swear that man is gorgeous =x
But he cut his hair....
which is a big no no in my book, (i have a thing for men with long hair.)
but hay, i'll get use to it. =[
