It’s official - The Monk Seal is extinct Posted Jun 07, 2008 at 7:02 pm
June 7th, 2008

The Caribbean Monk seal (or West Indian seal) has been announced extinct on Friday. This comes as a shock (at least for me - and many others), as this is the first seal species announced extinct due to human activities; now, it will only be seen in drawings. After five years of futile efforts in which not even a single sighting has been reported, the U.S. declared extinct, and also declared that no other seal species has been extinct because of us. This probably (and sadly) opens the way for more such species to become extinct - unless something changes.

The Caribbean Monk Seal was a relatively small seal (6-9 feet) with rolls of fat around its neck and brown pelage that faded to a yellow-white color on the stomach. The last recorded sighting occurred in 1952.

what is a blog Posted Jun 02, 2008 at 3:55 pm
informative plagiarism..

What is a blog? A blog is a swampy area full of water with no underground spring to feed it. A blog is very acidic though it is also a great place for mosquitoes to breed and eat you alive when you enter the blog.

You'll need a bug zapper if you live near a blog. A blog is a rich place for plant life. A form of moss, especially Sphagnum moss, grows and forms a thick mat of floating plants. These plants, over time, can fill in the pond or small lake with peat that will eventually be firm enough to support trees.

The outer edge of a blog is supported by plant life that people can walk over. The center of the blog however is soupy water which tastes like mucous if you drink it. Blogs have very little decomposition or organic matter which creates a very acidic soil. A tree that falls in such area is often called a 'log in a blog.'

Blogs are very popular now days, too. People go online and write about them in these kinds of personalized online journals. Writing about these swampy areas is called "blogging."

So, what is a blog? Heck if I know. But if you see a web on a log in a blog, let me know.

the bee gees AND pink floyd Posted May 29, 2008 at 6:51 pm
some force brought together bizarre elements designed to make me admit - in public - that I can stand listening to Pink Floyd and the Bee Gees.

Yeah.

Pink Floyd.

Bee Gees.

Please don't make me repeat it. Again.

Granted, the only way I will listen to these two bands is if they are unceremoniously mashed together and overlaid with lyrics from unknown to me singer songwiter Jason Downs.

So.

To recap.

Pink Floyd, The Bee Gees, Jason Downs. Mashed together for the funkiest disco rock tune that will make your hips move and your head bang. You'll also find you sing along.

I've included a pay for it link (above) but if you google the appropriate keywords you'll find many dj's have copies you can just download for free as it is just a dj mashup for club use - generally a free thing.

Get a copy. Listen to it for days. Then tell me what you think.
