Grrrr...... Posted Aug 26, 2008 at 9:39 pm
My sister makes me so mad. No matter what I do or say she bitches. I'm either rude, stupid, or a bad parent. Seriously she and I are like polar opposites. She doesn't have ANY kids, and yet she thinks everything I do with Chelsey is wrong. And what really irks me is she does it in a passive aggressive way, so I can't say anything without sounding like an over-reacting bitch. Like if Chelsey is even a tiny bit wet, she'll be all "Chelsey wants her diaper hanged." and I'll say "Oh it's not very wet, she's OK." But that won't satisfy my sister, she'll keep saying Chelsey wants her diaper changed, or something similar untill I change it. At witch point my sister will be all "It's about time, huh Chelsey?" dft;knd;lfxvgsdfbgdsfbsxvfd

I'm too mad to type anymore. I need to really rant.

The Honorable Lee H. Gaudineer, Jr., a proud south-sider and public servant, died July 16, 2008 at the age of 76. Lee was born in Des Moines on March 10, 1932 to Lee H. Gaudineer, Sr. and Mildred Wallick Gaudineer. He graduated from Lincoln High School and earned his B.A. from Grinnell College in 1957, his J.D. from Drake University in 1958, and his LL.M from Missouri University in 1967. He served three years in the Korean Conflict.

Lee was a state legislator from 1965-1972, serving in the Iowa House from 1965-1967 before being elected to the Iowa Senate. He served as Minority Floor Leader for what was known as “the dirty dozen” during his final term before he retired in 1972 to resume his law practice full time. He partnered with Ray Austin to establish Austin and Gaudineer, which later merged with other local law firms to become Gaudineer, Comito and George.

Lee married Pearl Ann Swindler of Des Moines in 1961 and was widowed in 1981. He is survived by his second wife, Ellen Brune Gaudineer, whom he married in 1990; his four children, Kimber (Ken) Foshe of Johnston; Kevin (Karen) Gaudineer; Kathi (Tom) Slaughter; and Daran (Dionne) Gaudineer all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Kristin, Kyle and K.C. Foshe; Jarred and Alex Gaudineer; Perri and Harrison Woods; and Olivia and Tyler Gaudineer, several step-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents and a sister Lois Gabler.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 PM Saturday, July 19th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with a visitation from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the funeral service on Saturday.

Rant Posted May 28, 2008 at 7:14 pm
So there's this married couple who frequent the gas station I work at. They rarely come in together and when they do they are always bickering. Anyhow Sierra, the wife has been telling me how her husband Rick has been abusing her, and the other day he threw keys at her and gave her a fat lip, she called the cops and now has a restraining order against him. Now some of my co-workers are saying that they are taking Ricks side in this and that Sierra is over-reacting, now they don't know that this kind of thing has been going on for awhile, she has shown me bruises on her neck from him grabbing her, but i'm the only one she has confided in I guess. Even so I think it's crazy that they think it's ok that Rick did what he did just because they don't like Sierra. I mean there are some people out there that I don't like, but if I ever hear that they were being abused I wouldn't think that they had it coming, I mean that's just nuts. I don't know, I guess I'm too nice of a person, or maybe I'm just crazy. Ah well.
